Tao Farms NY is a regenerative, no-till farm growing on small slice of land in Saratoga County, Our mission: grow food that nourishes our local community and the earth. Soil stewardship is at the heart of everything we do at Tao Farms NY because healthy soil means healthy food. We grow our vegetables and maintain our fields with hand tools, avoiding soil-compacting machinery. We don’t use chemical additives or pesticides, instead opting for all-natural, OMRI-approved fertilizers and insect pest management practices. Our chickens are ethically raised in a free-range setting and fed organic feed. We are proud to serve those looking to sustain personal and planetary health.
Kyle J. Haynes
Owner-Operator
Tao Farms NY started with a move. Kyle ventured North with his family and a plan: use his education in plant science and his farming experience to form a business centered around soil health. Within a year, Kyle’s plan grew into a need to serve his new community by providing healthy, fresh produce in the most sustainable way possible. The name for the farm came after many nights reading the Tao Te Ching and embracing its guidance on balance, simplicity, and equanimity. Kyle lives on the farm with his wife, their dog, and two cats.
